Our Pre-IGCSE level prepares learners aged 12 to 14 based on a flexible framework for developing skills and understanding in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Malay as a Second Language, Business Studies, Economics, Islamic & Moral Studies. It enables teachers to assess students’ learning as they progress by preparing them for the Cambridge IGCSE programme.

ASSESSMENT
The Pre-IGCSE programme employs a testing structure to assess learner performance and report progress to learners and parents. The Cambridge Pre-IGCSE Progression Tests provide valid internal assessment of knowledge, skills and understanding in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Foreign Language Malay, Business Studies, Economics, Islamic and Moral studies.
The tests:
- Enable learning to be assessed each year
- Provide detailed information about the performance of each learner for years 7, 8 & 9
- Enable teachers to give structured feedback to learners and parents
- Enable teachers to compare strengths and weaknesses of individuals and groups
- Come with clear guidance, standards and mark schemes
- Are marked by teachers at the school
- Measures a learner’s performance in relation to the curriculum framework
- Allows teachers to comment on the performance of learners using a list of sub-topics/skills
